The New Orleans Polo Club is comprised of a diverse membership of male and female players united by their passion for one of the world's oldest, most exciting and least understood team sports.
Recognized by the United States Polo Association (USPA), the New Orleans Polo Club is currently the only active polo club in the state of Louisiana. A distinction we hold with pride and responsibility to the sport's future in the region.
Several of our members have distinguished careers in the game, actively playing for over 30 years, and mentor the next generation of players stepping onto the field for the first time.
Practices, matches and tournaments are held throughout the year during the club's two playing seasons. Our Spring season opens in mid-March and runs through the end of June. Our Fall season opens in September and concludes in early December.
Practice chukkers are held on Wednesday afternoons. Matches and tournaments are held Saturdays and Sundays. Spectators are welcome at all of them.
New players and visiting USPA members are welcome. Please reach out to our Club President, Jay Wimberly, to learn about participation and required paperwork.
True to its international heritage, the New Orleans Polo Club has hosted players from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, England, France, Guatemala, Mexico and New Zealand, alongside USPA members from clubs across the United States.
